So, you want to know more about me huh?
My name is Michelle Ellis.
I live in Richland Washington. Richland is in Eastern Washington (the desert part of the state) and is part of the Tri-Cities (Richland, Pasco, and Kennewick).
I’m married to Troy, whom you’ll probably see on the blog from time to time. He’s a wonderful guy and makes me laugh every day. We’ve been together for 19 years and I can’t believe how old that makes me……35. We’ve got two amazing kids, Chloe 15, and Henry 9. We also have an attack beagle, Lily who will ‘lick the living heck out of ya’ if you even try to come in the house.
I love knitting, reading, spining wool into yarn, making jam and preserving food, gardening, thrift shopping, photography, art, museums, the library, architecture, list making…I could go on and on….you’ll read about most of it on my blog. Check out the archive.

I love being the first one to use a jar of something(peanut butter, ice cream, jam)….breaking that pristine top layer is the best
I have a shoe thing, I LOVE shoes….a lot….I mean it….not enough to marry them but a lot….ask Troy, he hates my shoe thing
I HATE orange juice…..can’t stand the stuff…..I do love oranges though so I’m not totally weird
I have some of the best friends….they’re really fun to hang out with and they never tell a bad joke…ok one does but I love him anyway
I am a bit of a foodie…..I love crepes
I wish I was better at being green….I try everyday to reduce my environmental impact without being pretentious about it
My name is Michelle but when I was little, my sister couldn’t say it so she called me Chel which became Chelee….most of my friends call me Chelee but for business I go by Michelle because… c’mon Chelee Ellis…if you still don’t get it, say it outloud….yeah…that’s what I’m talking about
I would love to travel to Europe for 3 months at a time…..if you know anyone who wants me to work for them in Europe, have them get in touch…(:
I’m in a book group that meets twice a month…well it actually meets once a month and most members choose one day but I’m an achiever so I go to both…..and YES I do read both books
I love photography and that I get to do it for a living….my clients are totally awesome and I am so grateful to them for sharing themselves.
